Biography:
Rose Tyler is a fictional character from the BBC science fiction television program, Doctor Who. She is best known as one of the Doctor's most prominent companions in the revived series.
Rose first appeared in the episode "Rose", the first episode of the revived Doctor Who series in 2005. Played by Billie Piper, she is a 19-year-old shop assistant from London who becomes embroiled in the Doctor's adventures after encountering him and a Nestene Consciousness Auton attack.
Tyler traveled extensively with the Ninth and Tenth Doctors, forming a close and complex relationship with both incarnations. Her travels were ultimately cut short after being trapped in a parallel universe, though she occasionally made appearances in later episodes.
